Installation Instructions
In order to ensure the safety of the installers and the normal operation of the sludge concentration meter, please install it in the following order:
1. Install the instrument box and the sensor bracket;
2. Install the transmitter into the instrument box and fix it;
3. Install the sensor;
4. Electrical connection.

Transmitter Installation
1. When selecting the transmitter installation location, the following principles need to be followed:
Avoid direct sunlight on the transmitter;
Avoid excessive vibration of the transmitter;
If conditions permit, the transmitter should be installed slightly above the operator's eye level, which will help the operator to browse the front panel and perform control operations very comfortably;
Leave enough space for the opening and maintenance of the transmitter box. The transmitter dimensions are shown in Figure 2-1.

There are three holes on the back of the transmitter, the upper hole is used for hanging, and the lower two holes are used for bolting.

Sensor Installation
To ensure accurate measurement, the following standards should be followed when selecting the sensor installation location:
The sensor should be installed at the appropriate location of the process to ensure representative measurement results, and the installation location should be convenient for the operator to perform sampling operations. The recommended maximum distance between the sensor and the sampling point is no more than 1.5 m. Improper sampling operation is a common cause of incorrect measurement data;
The sensor should be installed in an easily accessible location to facilitate regular cleaning and maintenance of the sensor;
Avoid installing the sensor in a location with many bubbles, as bubbles will generate interference signals. Under certain application conditions, the generation of bubbles is difficult to avoid, such as in applications where centrifuges or filtrates are measured. In these cases, the sensor should be installed in a degasser;
The sensor should be installed in a location where the process is well mixed and there is no downtime, which is usually where the sampling point is located;
The sensor probe should face away from the process medium flow direction.
There are two ways to install the sensor: immersion installation and insertion installation.

Immersion installation
Immersion installation refers to the installation method of immersing the sensor in a pool or tank through a mounting bracket. Suitable for aeration tanks, sedimentation tanks, concentration tanks, return channels and other occasions.
When installing in an immersed manner, the sensor must be installed on the mounting bracket, and the sensor cable cannot be used to hang the sensor in the water. The sensor should be immersed to a depth of not less than 30cm below the water surface, or to the depth usually reached during sampling, and avoid direct sunlight.
