Portable/handheld ultrasonic flow meters (energy meters) are used to measure the flow rate and heat of various single and uniform liquids capable of conducting ultrasonic waves.
Portable/handheld ultrasonic flow meters adopt non-contact measurement methods, with a large measurement range, no moving mechanical components, and are not affected by system pressure and harsh environments. They have been successfully applied in the measurement of water, pure water, seawater, sewage, chemical liquids, river water, fuel oil and other fluids. The upper limit temperature of the standard sensor is 110 º C. If it exceeds this temperature, please contact the manufacturer or supplier.
Portable/handheld ultrasonic energy meters are widely used for measuring energy consumption in industries such as refrigeration, heating, heat exchangers, refrigerators, and boilers.
Working Principle
When an ultrasonic beam propagates in a liquid, the flow of the liquid will cause a slight change in propagation time, which is proportional to the flow velocity of the liquid. At zero flow rate, the time required for two sensors to emit and receive sound waves is exactly the same (the only technology that can actually measure zero flow rate). When liquid flows, the transmission time of sound waves in the upstream direction is greater than that in the downstream direction.
