Ultrasonic Flow Meter - Overview

 

 

Ultrasonic flow meter technology is a non-contact means of measuring the velocity of a fluid. They are clamp-on devices that attach to the exterior of the pipe (and fit a variety of pipe sizes) and enable measurement of corrosive liquids without damage to the ultrasonic sensor. Portable ultrasonic flow meters are available to aid in industrial application.

Types of Ultrasonic Flow Meter
 

Dual and Single Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flow Meters
A clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter is the least invasive among the various types of flow meters, ideal for non-intrusive, maintenance-free fluid monitoring. Clamp-on meters are easily installed without modified pipework or process interruption, making them well-suited for retrofitting and temporary measurement projects. They come in single and dual sensor versions: the single-sensor model houses both transmit and receive crystals within one body, clamped at a single location on the pipe's surface. This configuration is optimal for compact spaces or straightforward installations.

 

Hybrid Ultrasonic Flow Meters
Hybrid ultrasonic flow meters are the most versatile flow meters available, engineered to seamlessly handle an extensive array of fluids in industrial, commercial, and municipal systems. Dubbed "hybrid" because they integrate both ultrasonic Doppler and transit time measurement technologies, these advanced meters enable operators to switch between methods for optimal performance: the Doppler principle is recommended when measuring fluids containing particulate matter or entrained air bubbles, while the transit time technique offers superior accuracy with clean, particle-free liquids.

 

In-Line Ultrasonic Flow Meters

Installation

 

 

1. Observe whether the pipeline at the installation site meets the distance from the front 10D to the front 5D and the distance from the pump 30D. (D is the inner diameter of the pipeline)
2. Confirm the fluid medium in the pipeline and whether it is full.
3. Confirm the pipe material and wall thickness (consider the thickness of the inner wall of the pipe
4. Confirm the service life of the pipeline. Even if the pipeline is about 10 years old, even if it is made of carbon steel, it is best to use plug-in installation.
5. After completing the first four steps, you can confirm which sensor to use
6. Start to input parameters to the watch body to determine the installation distance.
7.Install the sensor-debug signal-make waterproof-reorganize the signal cable-clean up the waste at the site-end of installation-acceptance signature

Design Confirmation and Quotation: Our process begins when a customer sends us specific product details such as the specifications and dimensions of the product they want. We will provide a quote for the entire process according to customer requirements.


Sample Making: After agreeing the quotation, Our designers will make samples for you in the shortest time, after the samples are finished, we can send them to our customers by post for testing, or provide you some pictures for your reference.


Mass Production & QC: Once the samples are finalized, the design will be forwarded to our factory to start mass production. Our dedicated quality control team monitors every step of the process to ensure that every product meets our standards before it leaves the factory.
